"Satisfying THUNK when the magnets self align. Great idea and execution!"

Kevin Kelley

“Just wanted to thank you for your excellent product. Extremely impressed with the fast shipping and product packaging. The MagVent arrived in perfect condition. My dryer is located in a closet in such a way that it is difficult to connect the vent and the dryer would not push far enough back to allow the door to close, this corrected both conditions.

The dryer now sets further back and I'm able to slide the dryer in and hear the satisfying thunk when the magnets self align. Great idea and execution!

Thanks again!”

"Happy Camper!"

Kevin Kelley

“Just got done installing the MagVent this weekend. Awesome product! Dont change a thing! Moved in with all new appliances in November 2014. The Fridgidaire Dryer had burned out three elements and I just installed number 4. Thought manufacturing defect but after looking at how it was installed I found several things wrong. Using the popular aluminum foil hose added 5 feet of hose but also 4 90° turns not including hard tube in building! Way restrictive, now the connection is just inches long and no bends. Dryer could slide almost bact to wall now! Thanks!“

"I love the mounting and the engineering that went into it!"

Kevin Kelley

“Hi Guys!

I just got this MV installed. I love the mounting and the engineering that went into it. My only thing I'd say to make it better or another option perhaps; Make one with a stiffer flex tube. I understand why it has to be so flexible to accommodate imperfections in installation. However, if was installing this as a new construction install, and could align the house side vent at a precise placement....it would be GREAT if this magnetic coupler had a more rigid "snout" to affix to the dryer. Sure some flex, but more durable and slightly stiffer.

Again, great idea and execution. Really neat idea and well made.

Thanks much.”

Fire Safety Week: The Dangers of Dryer Lint Fires

Kevin Kelley

According to the National Fire Protection Association, nearly 17,000 home clothes dryer fires are reported each year. These clothes dryer fires cause around 51 deaths, 380 injuries, and $236 million in property loss.

Dryer fire safety is a serious and often overlooked problem. It is our goal to both increase consumer awareness about the dangers of dryer fires, and to provide the solution, which is a minimum path vent and routine maintenance. MagVent makes maintenance a snap!

October is Fire Prevention Safety Month!

Kevin Kelley

blogoctober 1.jpg

October is National Fire Prevention Month, a time when we should all be aware of ways to help learn fire safety and prevention. According to Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Acting Regional Director Dennis Hunsinger, most Americans underestimate their risk for fire, and many either lack emergency response plans – or fail to practice them with fire drills.

Annual observances like National Fire Prevention Week and National Fire Prevention Month are excellent opportunities to focus on fire hazards – but we should all practice fire safety every day—at home, at work and at play.

The NFPA offers a wealth of safety information, fire prevention tips and resources on their comprehensive website: www.nfpa.org. And I encourage everyone to contact your local fire department to learn more about making your home safer from fire, or how you can best participate in fire prevention activities.

Here at MagVent, LLC, we will be providing various tips, guidelines, and information on how to keep your home and family safe. A MagVent product, a properly designed duct system, and routine cleaning are the solutions to boost dryer efficiency and save energy and space, as well as keeping your home safe from dryer fires that begin in the laundry room. We are always here to assist our customers, so if you have any questions or comments on our products or fire safety, please don’t hesitate to contact us by email at customerservice@magventllc.com, or give us a call at 1-888-960-7484!

Low Profile Installation

Kevin Kelley

"I couldn't get our dryer pushed back enough to avoid the laundry room door. The reason for this was the aluminum vent tube connecting the dryer to the wall needed a lot of clearance. The biggest issue was that the outlet on the dryer lined up with the outlet on wall, giving us little room to adjust the tubing. Look at all the lint that accumulated after just 3 weeks of using our new dryer! (Please note this was professionally installed by an appliance company when we bought both units). After installing the magnetic wall side ring, it was so clean and so close to wall! It looked amazing, and I'm so excited to be able to push the unit back to wall! There was no other way to do this without major work. I even called an electrician and a plumber to see about other options, but just to come out it was 80 bucks!! The entire MagVent installation was half that!!!" -Jim C.

Pleased With MagVent

Kevin Kelley

"We purchased the MagVent MV-90 magnetic dryer vent coupling and wanted to say how pleased we are with it. We recently did some renovations and wanted an easier way to connect and disconnect our dryer vent. We found MagVent online, called the company and ordered it. The customer service was friendly and professional, and delivery of the item prompt. Below are photos to show our dryer vent before, during and after the installation, which was pretty quick and easy. It works great and makes moving and accessing the dryer hassle-free." Mike G.
